ABOUT I’ve always had a deep passion for art + music. As a kid, I spent hours at my little desk in a creative frenzy with my Rapidograph pens, linoleum blocks, inks, and watercolors. I started playing piano at age four, guitar at 12, and wrote my first song when I was 24.
In my twenties I had a freelance design business in Los Angeles with a cool studio space in the famous Helms Bakery Building. In my thirties, I became a partner at i4Design, a small design firm in Sausalito, working with clients like the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, and Cal Performances. During this time, I was writing and recording songs and performing them at a variety of venues.
Then came my band, Blame Sally, which enjoyed local and international success for 22 years, performing at venues such as The Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, Stern Grove, Great American Music Hall and The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. We toured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, and the U.K., and produced close to a dozen CDs. I have written and produced music for Blame Sally, film and television, as well as many album projects. My songs have been placed in programs on every major television network, selected as “Song of the Day” on NPR, won an “Independent Music Award” for Blame Sally, and I was awarded “Songwriter of the Week” on the BBC in Scotland.
Currently, I am designing primarily for environmental organizations, national, state, and regional parks, and producing, recording, performing, and mixing for other artists, as well as myself in my Sebastopol, California studio. I’m also creating music videos, teaching songwriting, guitar, and coaching performance. And, I’m crazy about cooking and savoring good food and wine by candlelight… every night.
